HOW SAFE IS PROCESSED MEAT
By WHO(World Health Organisation) it is found that 2 million people annually including many children are killed by food and water-borne disease and the likes. In order to reduce this rate of mortality, knowledge and action are necessary, and you must be at alert by watching the kind of food that goes into your intestine, that is what this blog is about.
How safe is the processed meat? How safe is formalin consumption? I want to know what do you think about the topic above, what is your opinion about processed meat? Do you believe that processed meat contains harmful chemical substance that is dangerous to health? I would like to hear your say concerning this by sending your comments to me. There is a research carried out by some group of people and it was discovered that some imported processed meat of various kinds such as chicken, turkey, pork etc. were preserved with a high level of formalin. This formalin substance, do you know what kind of effects can it cause in the body if it is consumed in high proportion? What is the minimum level of formalin that body should have that will not lead to ill-health? Do we have to consume formalin at all in the first place? I leave that for you to find out so that you can understand what I’m driving at.
How toxic-free and heavy-metal free are these poultry and animal product that is either being imported or produced in your country? A competent source reveals that most of feeds given to these poultry animals are usually contaminated and they contain metals. The heavy metals are concentrated in the kidneys and livers of the chicken. These animals find them(heavy metals) difficult to excrete, so they are passed along to humans who eat these imported meat. Now, that is not all, but before I proceed, if you are the type that love to eat ‘imported’ , you have to be wary of the type of imported meat you let into your system, not all those who exported these processed meat into your country handle it very well, the study showed that processed poultry, especially chicken and turkey were loaded with harmful microbes such as Salmonella, which is life-threatening food-borne disease. These processed meat are loaded with toxins, and these can predispose to cancer of various kind.
It is known that when food are in their natural state, they are most nutritious, but when it has been processed, it is subjected to various forms such as freezing, canning, salting and every form of preservatives.
